Åskilje 

Åskilje is a small village between Storuman and Lycksele in northern Sweden. Sitting on the E12, the village comprises a handful of homes owned by some of the most wonderfully humble and friendly folk you could wish to meet. You'll feel very welcome here, and encouraged to explore the rivers and forest that surround us. The campsite is a great place to spend a few days relaxing in a peaceful environment, or alternatively a place to enjoy nature for everything it has to offer with some rowing, cycling, fishing and walking among others. A beautiful and peaceful but full of life village on the dramatic blue highway shorelines of Swedish Lapland.

The Blue Highway is the affectionate name given to the E12, which runs all the way to the North-West coast of Finland and continues from the Swedish border through lapland into Norway. So called because of the beautiful, endless waterways, there is so much to explore along the way as you witness the spectacular changing landscapes.
